Challenger in the pension market
Lumera is an insurtech company that provides a digital platform – with associated services – to pension funds, administrators and insurers. Customers use our Lumera Axylife system to manage pension and life insurance policies and to serve participants. Lumera is a fast-growing challenger in the market, preparing for the reform that will drastically change the pension space in the coming years. We see plenty of opportunities, do you?
Pensions may not be sexy, but is a hugely important for everyone who accrues or receives a pension. Lumera is committed to making pension administration simpler, more agile and lower cost. And that ensures that each participant and insured gets the best service and positive outcomes. Lumera Axylife produces real savings for pension administrators, which can be passed on to participants.
What does the Business Controller do?
As a Business Controller, you translate internal and external developments into predictions and recommendations for management. You translate our strategic goals, financial and operational performance into key performance indicators. You take the financial function to the next level and monitor the internal control environment that is necessary for our external assurance. Through various analyses you create a clear picture of the facts and achievements and report and advise management about it. Your mission is to ensure that management really comes into control. This also means that you must regularly involve management and employees in the necessary change or renewal. That is why you have to be proactive and communicatively strong, see (process) improvements and implement them.
Your role is therefore very broad and responsible. This also gives you a very steep learning curve. Within Lumera AxyWare you shape the interpretation of your role and your possibilities within the organization. There is no shortage of opportunities.
To thrive in this role, we hope that you have…
- HBO+ education with at least 5-7 years of work experience
- Strong communication and relational skills
- Strong business analysis and reporting skills
- Financial-economic and business knowledge
- Experience with financial systems, business intelligence, ISAE3402 certification
- Independence, a result orientation mindset, sense, self-reflection and teamplayer qualities
