Agile Team Coach – Research & DevelopmentWhy did you want to join Lumera?
When I started to look for a new job opportunity I wanted to change the area of business I was operating in and try something new. When I read the description in the ad at Lumera it correlated well with what I was looking for. I felt familiar with some of the expectations but there were also room for development, learning and getting new experiences within an area of business I have never been a part of which felt exciting.
As I went through the recruitment process and got to know some of the people, and they described the workplace and the culture. What they described in our meetings felt like what I was looking for, and I can only say that in the end it was a good match.
What is your workday like at Lumera?
I usually come into our Stockholm office in the morning and start my day with a cup of coffee chatting with people. Mornings I usually try to take care of administration if needed. There might be some recruitment activities during the day then I prepare for them.
Then I keep myself busy with work in the teams as well as work with individuals have 1-1 meetings with team members. During the days there are daily´s, refinements, planning or retrospectives to attend in the teams, but I try to keep some time so that I can collaborate with the rest of the organisation on different improvement activities.
Some days we have afterhours social activities like AW´s and company gatherings and I try to be a part of them if it is possible. We also have a digital “off topic” channel with different special interest groups e.g. boardgames, computer gaming, golf, running and several other topics where people can get together and do fun stuff together.
What is the most developmental aspect of your job?
I love coaching, helping, motivating, training and inspiring teams and individuals on their respective journeys to unlocking their full potential. To be a part of that is very fulfilling and amazing.
How would you describe Lumera as a workplace in just a few words?
Inviting, helpful, inclusive, fun and great people that wants to improve society and create a great product.
What's the best thing about working at Lumera?
That is the easy question, and the answer is of course the people and being part of a creative company serving and contributing to the greater good of society.
Good leadership, what does it mean to you?
Leadership for me is the opportunity to help and serve organisations, teams and individuals so they can do what they are best at every day and continue to improve that over time. It is also important to build and support a creative and trusting environment in which it is ok to fail, learn and improve continuously. That will be the basis for developing both people and the product for our customers.
It is also being part of creating an awesome workplace with the best working conditions and continuously remove hinders and work to create an efficient, innovative and inspiring environment to achieve our goals and beyond.
