System Developer – Lumera Vietnam"The most developmental aspect of my job is the challenges I encounter. Not only do they enhance my core knowledge, but they also provide opportunities to contribute to improving our product."
What is your workday as a System Developer like at Lumera?
Here in Hanoi, I believe we are the earliest birds in all of Lumera. I usually start my day by navigating through traffic to get to the office. Once there, I check my calendar to plan the day’s priorities. My mornings are typically spent coding, fixing bugs, or discussing between our team in Hanoi. In the afternoon, we often have meetings to sync up with our teammates in Sweden. Between meetings, we sometimes take a short break in the Hanoi office to catch up and blow off steam.
What do you find most beneficial for your professional growth in this role?
The continuous work on challenging tasks. It helps develop my problem-solving skills, it requires collaboration in the team through our technical discussions and forces us to write clean and solid codes during the code refactoring and review sessions.
What do you do when you are not working?
Almost every week, I spend time hanging out with my friends, sharing stories. Other than that, I am always eager to find something new to learn or try.
