Technical System Specialist – Lumera Sweden"Being part of Lumera is an ongoing adventure. You have got to enjoy learning because there's always something new coming your way."
Why did you decide to join Lumera?
I discovered Lumera through a friend who had already hopped on board. Hearing about it, I thought, "This sounds like my kind of gig." It seemed like a good balance between challenges and fun.
What does your team of Technical System Specialists do?
In my team, we focus on helping customers with product installations and upgrades. We also play a crucial role in onboarding new customers, ensuring a smooth transition into our system or migration to new hardware. The work keeps you on your toes in a good way, bringing a fresh twist to our daily routine.
What do you find most beneficial for your professional growth in this role?
It's not just about mastering the tech; it's equally about working effectively with diverse teams. By overcoming the inevitable hurdles of teamwork and working side by side with talented folks from all corners of Lumera and our customers, you experience mutual growth and learning. Here, collaboration really is key.
How would you describe Lumera as a workplace?
It's an exciting environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth. Here, challenging problems are solved through a dynamic mix of collaboration and determination.
What do you do when you are not working?
When I'm not in "work mode," I'm at home, unleashing my inner DIY guru with one tool in each hand. My wife and I got our hands on a house two years ago, and we've been slowly but surely turning it into a proper home. Additionally, I’m known as the “go-to grill master” among my family and friends. My trusty Kamado Joe ceramic grill has been my partner in crime for the past two years. Since acquiring it, I’ve learned a lot about barbecuing and smoking meats. The lunch boxes I prepare are always a hit, with my wife enjoying the happy “beneficiary” of my many grilling experiments.
What advice would you give a future team member?
I would encourage future team members to have the courage to ask plenty of questions. It's the fastest way to learn and can be quite enjoyable. Lumera nurtures a supportive company culture, making it an ideal environment for learning and growth.
