What does your workday as a Test Engineer look like?

A good mix of meetings and hands-on testing! As a Test Engineer, I work closely with various people in the company to make sure Lumera Core behaves as intended. I plan my days based on the priorities and workload, so it varies depending on how close to a delivery we are in the projects I'm working on.

What do you find most beneficial for your professional growth in this role?

All the extremely competent colleagues. Whenever I have a question (and it happens a lot), I can always ask someone for help and get the answers I need to move forward with my tasks. My role includes a lot of problem-solving as well, so I need to learn things all the time.

Why did you decide to join Lumera?

I had been keeping an eye on Lumera for a while when I was contacted by a recruitment company about a role here, and I felt like it was just the right challenge for me. I got a good feeling during the recruitment process and when meeting some of my future colleagues.

Also, I've chosen Lumera twice since I changed jobs when I moved away from Stockholm but came back because of great colleagues and work-life balance.

What do you do when you are not working?

I spend a lot of time with my family outdoors with our dogs, as well as at the gym and on the track running. Since buying a house, I could also call myself an aspiring gardener, but it's too early to say if I'm good or bad at that :)
