Erik Gyllenstierna
System Developer – Lumera Sweden"The most rewarding aspect of being at Lumera is the opportunity to constantly learn and contribute to something good."
Why did you decide to join Lumera?
I wanted to work at a software development company that focuses on developing a great core product for businesses, rather than individuals. That way, the business would not be so exposed to the economic situation. Previously, I worked at a dot-com company that downsized a lot. Lumera has grown from 40 employees when I started in 2006 to over 300 employees today and is now a different company, for the better. But the original company culture is still here.
Describe Lumera as a workplace in a few words?
Motivating, challenging, collaborative workplace with long-term solutions, featuring a flat organizational structure, and competent colleagues committed to teamwork.
What's the best thing about working at Lumera?
The opportunity to constantly learn new things, both technically and within the domain. Working with a product that contributes to something meaningful. Having helpful and supportive colleagues I can always talk to. Enjoying both freedom and responsibility, whether working from home or the office, with flexible hours. Great opportunities to influence the work process and maintain a healthy work-life balance. I genuinely look forward to work almost every day!
What advice would you give a future team member?
Don't be afraid to ask questions.
