System Specialist – Lumera Sweden"A genuine confidence, teamwork, and shared purpose made me realize this was where I belonged."
Why did you decide to join Lumera?
I saw an advertisement that caught my interest, even though I didn’t know much about the company beforehand. As I went through the recruitment process, my feeling that this was a workplace I wanted to be part of grew stronger. The friendly people I met, the sense of collaboration, the shared responsibility, and the overall atmosphere—which was never boastful but conveyed a quiet confidence—left a lasting impression on me.
What does your team of System Specialists do?
We communicate directly with customers through ticket system, analyse, and investigate issues that arise in their systems. Our role involves helping them with temporary solutions and workarounds until permanent fixes can be implemented. It’s often like detective work, where we use logs, dig into databases, examine user interfaces, and review documentation to understand the root cause. We need to be able to recreate the situations and then escalate them within the organisation for resolution. Additionally, we participate in regular meetings with customers to follow up on incidents and maintain an ongoing dialogue about the progress and outcomes of our work.
How would you describe Lumera as a workplace?
Helpful, caring, cheerful and professional.
What do you do when you are not working?
I spend time in our cottage in the forest and I like outdoor activities like running, cross-country skiing, hiking, cultivation, picking berries and mushrooms. I also enjoy cooking, baking and singing in choir.
Fortunately, more people at Lumera like to run, so those who want to can join a lunchtime run together once a week. The so-called LumeraLunken. And we have participated in several races together.
