What is your workday like at Lumera?
Actuaries are often known for being the subject of jokes because they tend to care more about numbers than other people. There may be some truth to this, but fortunately, in Lumera, we have many actuaries who can engage in conversations about numbers together.
A typical day consists of performing actuarial valuations and forecasting liabilities for insurance companies and pension funds. However, since Lumera is in constant development, there is always a new and exciting project in which one can contribute.
What is the most developmental aspect of your job?
The constant evolution and growth that takes place in the actuarial field pushes me to expand my knowledge and refine my abilities. I have the opportunity to learn something new from my colleagues, explore uncharted territories, and witness the advancements in various other departments at Lumera.
How would you describe Lumera as a workplace in just a few words?
A supportive and collaborative work environment that contributes to a thriving and uplifting atmosphere that fuels both individual and collective success.
What do you do when you are not working at Lumera?
In my spare time, I prioritize working out, being a foodie and I’m a big-time sport-, and movie geek.
