Filip Nääs Starberg
Application Consultant – Lumera UKWhat is your workday like at Lumera?
I currently work on data migration in an implementation project, which means keeping up with the system’s customer-specific configuration through close collaboration with other team members, and then writing SQL queries to load the data. It’s a good mix of teamwork and focused individual work, and I’m trusted to manage my own schedule, which gives both flexibility and a nice work–life balance.
What is the most developmental aspect of your job?
The role combines technical skills with industry knowledge, so there’s some variety and always something new to learn. Coming from outside the industry, it felt a bit overwhelming at first, but I’ve been able to learn quickly thanks to experienced colleagues who are always happy to share their expertise.
How would you describe Lumera as a workplace in just a few words?
Fast-moving and full of energy, with lots of opportunity for impact and personal growth, especially here in the UK which is a new market for the company.
What do you do when you are not working at Lumera?
I go bouldering most weekends and also enjoy squash and a bit of running. Since moving to London, I’ve also picked up tennis and gone on hikes when the weather allows. I’m also interested in history, so I’ve been exploring historical parts of the city and visited museums.
